  1. The Olivas Adobe is one of many haunted places in Ventura County. It is the most active and best known. The ghosts are as follows: "The Lady in Black" thought by some to be Teodora Olivas, the wife of the builder and the mother of 21 children! She wasn't murdered here but died of natural causes at the age of 82.
"The Girl in White" was seen several times last October and November. This apparition is that of a nine year old girl in a white night dress and cap. It is thought to be "Maria" the daughter of Nicholas Olivas. The last ghost was seen twice in 2006 and was that of a woman with no eyes. She is wearing a white dress with long black hair. Thought to be a servant blinded and murdered by Yankees.
